Osiyo to all my relations: My thought here is that we should all be teaching others, native and not, about "nativeness" when we have opportunity. I have come in contact w/ several native bloods who really haven't gotten in touch w/ who they ARE. Most folks are amazed, or at least interested in our past as a country, and as a people. Doing living history events, seminars and demonstrations has taught me much about myself, and about others . Challenge: Let's be humble, yet bold enough this week to share our faith , our history and our SELVES with at least one person.

Here are my thoughts: I am an Animist, practicing Animism. This is the classification that Europeans have put our religious and spiritual beliefs in. I will teach anyone who would ask, I can only teach them what I have been taught. Nothing more, Nothing less. I am proud of what I am and where I come from. My Basic thoughts are these from one of my favorite quotes:
"I am a red man. If the Great Spirit had desired me to be a white man he would have made me so in the first place. He put in your heart certain wishes and plans, in my heart he put other and different desires. Each man is good in his sight. It is not necessary for Eagles to be Crows. We are poor..but we are free. No white man controls our footsteps..." --Sitting Bull Hunkpapa Sioux
